And now for something completely different.
A note from the Artist:
Last August I attended DragonCon with a friend of mine, one “Takkless”, as part of an exhibition for the company we work for, known as Quicksylver Inc. Put the two of us in the same room, and well… creative and competitive madness ensues. First, we came up with the concept for a “drunken heroes” series, the idea being what would happen if you *could* get a super hero completely schnockered? Then, we attended the Artist Trading Card seminar, and immediately started trying to finish more cards for the swap than the other. All in all a productive weekend.
So, a few weeks ago Takkless gives me a call about a charity auction happening at Blueline Pro comic supply in Florence, KY. The charity profits in question is to go to breast cancer research, and being a breast cancer survivor, it’s something I’m very fond of supporting. (Save second base!) The items being auctioned off would be art trading cards.
Takkless knew that I wouldn’t be able to turn it down. The cards above are a few of the ones being mailed out to the auction. If you happen to be in Florence, KY, on March 8, please go look up the shop and see some of the art that’s being sent in.
